I got to thinking...

I really haven't been including all of my "family" on this blog. Sure I have the animals, Ben and I, our families. But I am forgetting about some other very important poeple in MY life. The kids I sponsor through Compassion International (http://www.compassion.com/) I orginally started sponsoring with Compassion back in July 2002 when my mom, a friend and I decided to sponsor a child together. So we choice Phil Andrew.  Phil Andrew lives in the Philippines with his parents.  When we started sponsering him he was only 6 years old.  As you can see in the picture he is doing really good.

Then in December of 2002 I felt led to sponser another kid.  So Mugisha, age 10, from Rwanda, was chosen.  Unfortunetly in May of 2006 he moved away from the Compassion area.

In January of 2003 I still felt a tug to sponser more kids. I chose another 4.  Daniel, age 6, from Tanzania, Sibomana, age 8, from Rwanda, William (Wilbert), age 6, from Tanzania, and Suleman, age 8, from Tanzania.   In October of 2010, I was informed that Suleman was no longer enrolled in the Compassion program.

Then in December of 2010 I felt led to sponser on older child.  So Emmanuel, age 20, from Uganda, was chosen.  Emmanuel will actually graduate from the Compassion program this December.

We'll see what the future holds for my compassion kids.
