Amelia's Dedication

So this past weekend the whole family went to MI for Amelia's dedication. Here's some pictures from the weekend.

Exhausted after a long day, so napping in mommy's arms.

Harrison and Amelia together at last.

She's rolling over and getting ready to crawl.

Update on wedding plans

Well the invitations are mailed and we already have 3 response cards returned, 1 without the persons name as to who it is, which sucks for marking them off. We have the flowers, which turned out beautiful thanks to an marvelous job by Denise. I have our toasting glasses done, and I also have the mirrors that I etched done for the favor table; though I still have to finish like 3 jars, just putting the ribbon around the bottom, and as soon as the candy corn comes out I'll start buying the bags, there will be regular candy corn, indian candy corn, caramel apple candy corn, the candy pumpkins, and one of the other new candy corns. So I think that will be cool. I go for my final dress fitting on Sept 9th. I just have to finish getting the gifts set for the bridal party, parents, readers and ushers, and anyone else I've forgotten. I also have to sew the ring pillow for Harrison to carry as the ring bearer. I think he'll look handsome in a little suit...let's see I think that's it for updates at the moment.

2 1/2 months or 79 days left

Only roughly 2 1/2 months left or for Granna's sake 79 days. It doesn't seem like it's that close. Both Ben and I are both pretty calm about it all. We will pick up the flowers probably tomorrow and I need to talk to schedule a hair appointment for highlights and practice hair for the wedding. We'll see how it goes. I plan on mailing invitations soon.

My niece

So Susan and Joe asked Ben and I to be one set of Amelia's godparents. Of course we said yes. I mean who wouldn't. I'll admit I think Ben and I were unsure if either of my siblings would ask me to be godmother to the nieces and nephews, because of the conversion. But in my opinion, there is one God, I'm not going to force my beliefs on Amelia, any more then I should hope that my siblings beliefs aren't pushed on to my kids. I will help lead her in God's path and help her become the godly woman that the Lord has planned for her. I can only hope that I can be there when she needs a woman other then her mother.

So Susan and Joe thank you from the bottom of my heart for asking me to be one of Amelia's godmothers.

3 months

So only 3 months left till the big day. The bridesmaid dresses are in and the girls can go try them on. Of the 8 guys getting tuxes only 2 are measured. We turned in the information needed for the hall, only to find out that they lied over the phone. The place has new ownership. When we found out we called to make sure they still had us down. Well the room we reserved they don't reserve anymore, so whoever talked to Ben on the phone, didn't look just told us that yes they still had the reservation and that we had the bigger room. Well that's nice because then I could have done the rounds like I wanted to do. Well no we actually don't have the bigger room, we have the same one, but now we have to deal with a public bar, though it can be closed during our reception. But that could cause other problems, so were still thinking on it as to what to do.
