So at this time next week I will hopefully be getting a good night sleep to be able to get up in the morning and get my hair done around 8 for the wedding. I'm getting excited, and the nerves are starting to kick in. But I think some of that is worry that we forgot something, or that there's not going to be enough food. I know whatever happens happens, but that doesn't stop one from worrying. I hope that I don't make a bummbling idoit of myself, trust me it's been known to happen. If the nerves act up, it will happen. But I'm hoping that my personal attendent will be able to keep me cool, calm and collective. She tends to get flustered easily and I'm the one to help her through, so I'm hoping that she takes the extra nerves I don't need or want.
And through this all, everyone is asking how Ben's doing, and you know what I haven't a damn clue.

Various Walks
Ben and I participate in various walks. Right now we walk for March for Babies and Memory Walk. Next year we (well I) plan to add Relay for Life and Buddy Walk.
The first year of doing the March for Babies then Walk America, Ben and I walked 9 miles, which isn't offered anymore because not many people did it. Last year I walked 6 miles and this year only 3. But it doesn't matter how many miles I walk, because the money is going to a good cause.
This was my first year for walking in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk. I was on Vallhaven Forget-Me-Nots. I walked with Shanna and Harrison. With the option to walk either 1.1 miles or 3.4 miles, Shanna and I opted to go for the longer of the 2. We didn't go the full 3 because neither of us wanted to carry Harrison the full length back. Harrison was a real trooper though, he helped pull his wagon and even rode on my shoulders for part of the trip back.
Next year year I plan on joining the Relay for Life team that is stated at Vallhaven also. With so many people in our families that have been effected by cancer, it seems like a great walk to raise money for cancer reserch and programs.
And last but not least that I would like to add to the worthy cause walks is the Buddy Walk. Helping to raise awarness for downs. I will join Team Logan. Logan is Shanna's godson and his mother and her are great friends. By 2010 Shanna and Melaine would like to have a Buddy Walk in our area, so as not to travel as far.
If you would like to sponser Ben and me in any of these walks, just click on the symbol on the left to the corresponding walk. I thank you in advance, and I would like to once again thank all those who have already sponsered us.

Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk
The Vallhaven Forget-Me-Not's made a debut today as this was mom's first time running the fund raising for the memory walk. There was 11 members of our team, the youngest being Harrison and the oldest I'm assuming was Ashley's grandpa.

Old kink revisited
One of the headaches that both Ben and I have had as of late is getting a hold of the priest. He's not an easy man to reach, unless you nab him after mass, which we tried to do today, but someone else beat us to him. So it's back to leaving a message everyday for Ben.

23 days left
You know, by mentioning how far away the wedding in days, it seems so much closer then saying about 3 weeks, or a little less then a month. It's hard to believe but a month from now we'll be married and our honeymoon will be almost over. I myself am looking forward to going to Tennesse, if Ben doesn't change it on me, but I don't think he will. So I'll see what he does, I just want to know for packing sake.

New kink
So the newest kink in the wedding, the mints melting for the favors. Needless to say we have to replace about 200 wrappers, and all but 34 mints...very discouraging, we're just glad we found it now and not the day before.
One good note, nothing to do with the favors, but Denise has done it again and made us to beautiful candle rings for the memory candles. I can't wait to display them
