The Musleh's were here and gone before we knew it. Their short stay was just that too short. If you'd like to see some of the highlights check out their blog, a link is on the right hand side.
And now in a week Ben and I will be going to visit the Musleh's, I can't wait. I made Amelia's trick or treat bag, so it will better go with her fairy costume, and then still be able to use it later. I also was asked by Susan, if I was willing to try my hand at making baby legs or leggings for Amelia, which I said I would. I think for my first try I did rather well. I even made a pair for her costume if Susan didn't find something that would work or if she did in case it's colder then we thought. We are also a delivery service this trip as mom has things for the Musleh's that she didn't trust with the USPS, Ben and I like being a delivery service in that respect.
Ben and I have also gotten to picking up a couple bottles of wine when we travel. So we shall see what we can get from this trip. I was able to find some recipes from St. James Winery, for a Blackberry Wine Cake, which was oh so good (which tonight I'm trying it with a cherry wine from Door County) and a pumpkin pie which needs a little tweaking, (so my taste tasters have said and I agree...by the way if you'd like to be on the list of taste tasters just let me know. Right now they are: Ben, Mom, Grandma, Mary D and Shorty).
Seeing as how I'm talking about recipes, I'm also looking for recipes that are easy to convert to dairy free so that Amelia can enjoy things also. I was glad to find that the cut out cookie recipe that my siblings and I enjoyed when we were kids was one that I could convert so that Amelia too could enjoy our family tradition of cut outs
